Our friends over at the Holiday Inn Beaumont Plaza held their annual Christmas in July this week and we were honored that they asked us to be a part of such a fun event. We LOVE Christmas so any chance we get to celebrate it early is fine by us!!!
On the first table we decided to do an old world Christmas feel with rich colors and textures. For the stationery we created beautiful ivory, red and black layered invitations with a wide satin ribbon in green and red! We topped it off with a sparkling buckle and prancing reindeer. We then carried the design throughout the table with coordinating table numbers, place cards and menus.
For the linens we created a base with a red satin table cloth that instantly drew your eye to this table and then draped it with not one but two overlays in a heavy burlap and then a black satin. For the chairs we did a classic black satin cover and then tied it off with a wide burlap ribbon and red sash. Hanging from the sash was a jute mesh bag filled with fresh fruit. Fruit and nuts were traditional Christmas gifts placed in stockings.
For the place settings we went all out with rich red charges atop fun printed palcemats. We then layered them with beautiful cream dishes, red wine glasses and napkins and then topped it off with beautiful party favors. The favors were custom burlap bags that we letterpressed with a fabulous Christmas tree and then filled with candy!
For the flowers we wanted to keep it simple yet make a big impact. We used one of our 30 inch iron birdcages (if you have the need we do rent them) and filled it with fresh flowers, glittering Christmas balls in red and greed and fresh fruit. We surrounded it by large pillar candles in ornate crown stands that tied in with the dishes and topped it off with one of a kind tassels! We love a good tassel!
This was such an elegant table that had a warm and inviting feel. We had a great time creating all of the little extras that made the table come together. For more pictures of this table feel free to browse the album over on our facebook page.
For our second table we decided to have a
little lot of fun with a giant size candy buffet! Who doesn’t love candy?! I always talk about our inspiration for our designs, this one came from a Christmas tree skirt that Carmen made a few years ago. It is funky and fun and oh so beautiful! We took our cue from that and created a fun Holiday Party Invitation and custom labels for the overflow of candy and sweet treats!
We had everything from blue ice mints, giant gumballs and sixlets to yummy salt water taffy, fun lolipops and scrumptious cupcakes from Whosie Cakes!
Oh, I forgot to mention the rock candy!
and…. heck, I’ll just let the pictures do the talking.
We can do candy buffets for events large and small. This particular one will feed 1,500-2,000 people but don’t panic, we can do them for any size gathering. I do one every year for my kid’s birthday parties so see, then don’t have to be huge to be fun. They make great favors for weddings, showers and birthday parties as well as a great thank you to clients and employees at coorporate events.
We had such a fun time and it was great seeing old friends and making new ones! Thank you Clayton and everyone over at the Holiday Inn for letting us be a part of your event. We can’t wait till next year!
