As we prepare for a FABULOUS party tomorrow I am reminded that I never posted the Birthday Girl’s party from last year! 🙁 You all know how much I love Halloween so when I found out I was pregnant and that Sophi was due so close to the best Holiday of all time I was beyond excited! We love to throw a good party so combine that with the birthday of my baby girl and Halloween and you have one heck of a good time! I wanted it to be bright and cheerful for all the kids while still embracing all of the fun that is Halloween. What we had was a FABULOUS First Birthday Bash, Halloween Style!
We started with the invitations as we do so often. They were a preview of the fun we were all in for. I wanted to incorporate not only orange and black but also bring in purple and lime green to lighten the mood and add lots of pops of color to make it fun for the kids. Seeing as our little Halloween baby was going to be a Witch we wanted to incorporate that as well. Upon arriving guest were asked to sign a Witch Halloween book that our girl will have to cherish always.
For the tables we alternated orange, purple and green tablecloths to continue with the color pallet. The centerpieces were a mix of festive Witch inspired decorations with pictures of the birthday girl throughout her first year.
We had game stations set up for all of the kids to play at and have fun. From bobbin for apples and placing the wart on the witch to a can toss and ringing the spider we had it all. The one they loved the most was definitely the pumpkin decorating station. We have lots of budding artist on our hands!
Here they are having fun at all of the different activities!
With all of that playing we had to have some fuel for their tanks. We had mummy dogs and sandwiches in the shapes of pumpkins along with everyone’s favorite, sausage and cheese balls! We even made a jack-o-lantern from a cheese ball!
And it wouldn’t be a birthday party without cake! We had cupcakes from Whosie Cakesthat had custom fondant toppers in the shapes of ghost and witch’s boots and hats. We also had delicious carmel apples along with oreo and peanut butter truffles! Yum!
We quinched their thirst with a tasty witche’s brew compete with dry ice and had custom water bottle lables to honor the birthday girl!
Just writing about it makes me relive the fun times we had that day! The past two years have gone so fast and I can’t believe that tomorrow we will celebrate her 2nd birthday! Happy Birthday Baby! We all love you so much!
