Happy Friday everyone! It is exciting times over here at K & K and The Laurels and we have been so busy that I have fallen way behind on posting our beautiful Bride’s weddings. I have a Laurels update for you but first let’s get to one of our weddings!
When Chelsea first came to us about her Big Day with Trevor she knew she wanted something different and we are all about making a statement. The colors she chose were stunning and unique and we had such a fun time planning this wedding with her. Introducing Chelsea and Trevor’s fabulous Magnolia Wedding!
I don’t usually start with the cakes but when you have cakes as beautifully unique as these you can’t help but to show them off. Our favorite cake lady Mrs. Kay Palumbo did a fabulous job on Chelsea’s trio of cakes. They really pulled all of the flowers and decorations together. I love them and I love it even more that we had a bride that was so adventurous!
And Trevor was just as much fun as Chelsea. Instead of a traditional Groom’s cake Trevor decided to fuel his addiction to cheeses and had a scrumptious cheese bar! Becky with Two Magnolias provided unusual and tasty cheeses and it was a huge hit!
The linens we are beautiful mix of black, gold and champagne and really captured the feel that Chelsea was going for. We kept the flowers neutral and used an abundance of magnolia leafs to add an unexpected twist. This was all part of the background for one of my most favorite elements of the day. We got to use all of our assorted china to set the tables! We had so much fun going through and setting out all of our plates and flatware. It’s not every day that we come across a Bride that has a love for vintage china like we do!
Chelsea and Trevor, we wish you a lifetime of happiness and thank you both so much for letting us be a part of your special day!
Now for your update on the Laurels! This is huge too! As of Tuesday morning we have a slab! Woo hoo! It is real now! 🙂 They poured the slab for the building on Tuesday and are already scoring the concrete for our floors in the ballroom. Yesterday they poured half of the parking lot and will finish the other half next week some time. Boss 1 and Boss 2 even put their seal of approval on it.
We have waited so long for this that sometimes I can’t believe it is finally happening! I get giddy just thinking about it! Make sure you go check out our Facebook page for The Laurels and don’t forget to check back next week for another wedding post and an update on construction.
