Happy Friday and I hope all of you have a fabulous Easter! We had such a great time with family and friends. I love watching all of the kiddos dying Easter Eggs and running around playing! Nothing beats it. I know I have promised you all pictures of Le Grand Bal and today I am here to share them with you.
When we were asked to help with Lamar’s Le Grand Bal we were so excited. Not only is it a fabulous party and worthy event that benefits my alma mater but it was honoring a lady that is special to not only us but the entire community of Beaumont, Ms. Sallye Keith. She is a beacon of inspiration and note worthy philanthropist and such a joy. It was an honor to create this fabulous event to honor all of her many achievements.
So without further ado, Le Grand Bal 2013: Cardinal Express!
When deciding on our color scheme we took our cue from the invitation and went with beautiful shades of blue and purple with some red and yellow thrown in for good measure. We used a beautiful mix of shimmering tablecloths in aqua and a deep turquoise with purple napkins for a touch of contrast.
For the centerpieces we used a variety of containers including mercury glass, lanterns, sparkling crystals and beautiful silver candelabras filled to the brim with a variety of colorful blooms!
We also had fun creating custom table numbers and menu cards for each place setting.
Lighting plays such a huge part of any fabulous event so we had twinkling candles on every table along with lighted branches on cocktail tables at the bar and drum tables that lit from within. We also hung 3 BEAUTIFUL drum chandeliers that were literally dripping with crystals! Our friends at JPL Entertainment created beautiful uplighting around the perimeter of the room which accented all of the ambient light that Lamar’s Theater department created for us!
Thank you Dean Schultz, Tammy Hebert, Judy Comeaux, Allison Getz, Susan Reese and all of the Lamar staff for letting us be involved in this wonderful event! We had such a great time working with all of you.
