I can say without a doubt that this past weekends wedding show was a major success. SoutheastTexasweddings.com fall preview was bigger and better than ever with talented vendors from our entire area. It was great to see all of the ideas, catch up with vendor friends, talk with our current brides and meet all of the new ones! Along with our booth set up we had 4 idea tables so needless to say, we are exhausted! But we had so much fun and that is all that matters!
Let’s get started with our idea tables. First up is a table that might look familiar to you. Do you remember this Fabulous Friday post? We had such a huge response from everyone so Ashley (Owner of Beaumontbuzz.com and SoutheastTexasweddings.com) asked us to set up a table on all of the guest book alternatives that we featured in that post. And when Ashley ask you to do something you can’t say no! 🙂 We would like to say a special thanks to Holly and Lavonia at Occasions for providing the beautiful purple tablecloth and Allen of Bellafotographica for providing the stunning picture book. For more pictures on this table visit our gallery on Facebook.
Next up was our beautiful orange and navy paisley table. We always talk about finding your inspiration and the inspiration for this table came from the dishes. We found these beauties and just knew we had to expand on it. We took the paisley design from them and incorporated it into all of the stationery. We carried the paisley from the invitations and programs to the table numbers, menus and place cards. We tied it all together with a beautiful silk ribbon that was bursting with color.
For the linens we started with a base of rich navy satin and then played off of the colors in the silk ribbon and came up with our custom table topper that was a tone on tone orange silk with a beautiful stitched circular pattern. We made custom rosettees to add to the backs of the chairs. Again, a special thanks to the ladies of Occasions for providing the navy table cloth, navy sashes and napkins. The favors were mini spoons in various colors that were topped with delicious truffles and candies that each of the guest could take home. You can check out more pictures on this table in our Facebook gallery.
Next up was our red and black vintage chic table. We played off of the different fabrics of beautiful red and black satin and paired it with the roughness of burlap to add a little twist. We then set the table with custom place mats and bold red chargers and napkins. We topped those off with creamy porcelain dishes. We also featured one of our newest seating chart designs at this table.
The stationery for this table was the definition of romantic. The colors were kept classic with black lettering on a shimmery ivory base and the scroll work and embellishments were to die for. And did you check out that centerpiece?!?! Wow!!!! Carmen outdid herself with a tiered tray that was overflowing with deep red roses. I love how she combined contemporary (the tight arrangement of the roses) and vintage (the use of the wooden tray and very traditional flower) for this centerpiece. Next up was our most popular table, the Shabby Chic Sweet Treats Table! Everyone seemed to love it if the missing cookies and cupcakes at the end of the day were any indication! 🙂 The idea for this table came from a photo shoot that we did a while back with Sarah e. Evans Photography and Tamara Menges Designs. The shoot was centered around a backyard wedding with a very DIY feel to it. From handmade fans for programs and S’more favors to wedding wands and sweet treats we had so much fun creating this table.
We created a popcorn bar with beautiful handmade cones and custom tags to fill and then top with your favorite seasonings.
We also had an abundance of milk and cookies and pies O my! I mean who wouldn’t want to sip frothy milk out of cool vintage paper straws! Oh and we had wedding wands made of various ribbons and fabric strips! These make for cute favors and great photo opportunities!
And no party would be complete without an assortment of cupcakes and Whosie Shooters from Whosie Cakes! P.S. If you want the latest and greatest then you want Whosie Shooters! I mean, what could be better than cake filled push pops!?!?! Childhood relived! For more yumminess check out the rest of the pictures in our Facebook gallery.
Next we will move onto our booth area. Back by popular demand (as in bride’s specifically calling and asking us to please bring it!) was our Christmas candy bar but this time we added a custom backdrop to it! The backdrop can be rented and we can add any color ribbon to it to compliment your event.
We also unveiled a new line of candles, signature cocktails and wedding cards. These would all make great additions to any event and I can speak from experience, the drinks are delish!
We also had a ton of new rental items there along with all of our custom invitations which is what we are known for! We had several new additions to the group that seemed to be a huge success! To see more click here.
We enjoyed speaking with all of you and we hope you enjoyed the show just as much as we did. We are booking up fast for 2012 and into 2013 so don’t forget to schedule your free consultation soon!
